If you loved the Frosted Love series…you’ll love this 4th installment in the series that continues the adventures of Missy, Chas, and the rest of the gang. They’ve moved from Louisiana to Calgon, Florida, and have picked up an interesting cast of characters along the way!
Missy and Echo travel back to LaChance, Louisiana to plan Grayson and Sarah’s wedding. Missy loves the changes that Grayson has made to her old shop, but finds herself feeling nostalgic when she revisits the town where she was born and raised.
When a woman and her mother are found murdered in a “haunted” house just a few miles from Missy’s old neighborhood, Missy and Echo find themselves swept up in a chilling search for the truth. (Summary via Goodreads)
I hope you have eaten before you start reading because the cupcakes in this book are to die for. Loved this book. Chai Cupcake Killer is #4 in The INNcredibly Sweet Series. Summer Prescott was so sweet to dedicate a character to a special young reader in this book. I fell in love with the character of Destiny. She is a smart, adventurous tween that travels the country in an RV with her parents. She loves to read and is described as a bookworm. Her favorite genre is mysteries and ends up being right in the middle of one.
Missy and Echo are headed to LaChance, Louisiana to help her former employee Grayson and his fiancé Sarah plan their wedding. Missy loves what they have done to her old store. She takes a walk down memory lane and ends up at the park where she meets Destiny. Little does Missy know but she will be seeing a lot of Destiny and be in the middle of a murder mystery!
Destiny goes for a seemingly innocent walk when she stumbles upon a house. She loves to meet people since she is in an RV all the time. She goes to the house hoping to meet new people and ends up finding two dead bodies. When she first enters the house she notices a box of G&G Cupcakes Galore on the table half eaten.
By the time Missy ends up back at the store the police are there to question Grayson. And Detective Simmons has already made his mind up that Grayson is suspect number one. YIKES! Destiny comes into the shop and gives just enough information for Missy and Echo to start their own investigation much to the dismay of Grumpy Simmons.
Will they be able to help their friend before he ends up in jail? Can a tween they just met help them track down a killer before he or she strikes again???
I love this series and all the characters. Especially Spencer! I can't wait to see what happens in the next book because this one left us with a lot of of surprises.

One cold dead body......(Prices may vary)
Josie and her best friend, Brad, are next in line at Greenville's famous pastrami-sandwich-producing hotspot--Danny's Deli. Their highly anticipated lunch break turns stale when employee Gordy Fitzgerald's body is found in the freezer.
Word soon surfaces that Gordy had been stabbed shortly before being found--and the weapon is missing. Locals are devastated by the discovery, and the amount of speculation on the killer's identity is far greater than the holes on a block of Swiss cheese.
Who killed the beloved sandwich wizard?
Josie's untamed curiosity is determined to answer just that.
Along the way, she has a few tasks at hand: maintaining a blog, coming to terms with her feelings for Tony, and keeping up with the shenanigans of her corgi, Petey.
All this, and finding a killer.
Shouldn't be too hard. Living in a small town like Greenville, there's no place anyone can hide.
Not even a murderer...right? (Summary via Goodreads)
Sliced and Toasted with Murder book two in A Josie Rizzo Cozy mystery series is a culinary and mystery lovers dream come true. Both of these elements along with the amazing characters are a must read!
Josie and Brad are on their lunch break from The Box Bistro and decide to check out a staple in Grenville, Danny's Deli. They don't quite get what they were expecting when the clerk finds Gordy the best sandwich maker in town dead in the walk in freezer. This causes Josie's investigation radar to go off and ends up smack dab in the middle of it along with Brad and of course Petey. They are trying to find out why someone would want to kill a man who everyone loved???
Even with all of her investigating she still manages her food blog "Good Eatin' For The Curvy Soul" and living her dream. But she is also at a crossroads and needs to figure out her true feelings for Tony, her friend and boss who she has known all her life. WOW she has a lot going on! Will she and Brad be able to solve this case before anyone else gets hurt or will someone get away with murder?
I can't say enough good things about this cozy! If I could give it more than five stars I would hands down. It is so fun and entertaining you will be laughing out loud. Especially with Gerte's sense of humor and Petey's lack of exercise. I had tears from laughing so hard with the antics Petey was doing. On to book three.

I love it when we can provide you with 2 reviews of a book. And Priced to Kill by Catherine Bruns is one of them. Penny & I have both read the book and I believe you will see that we both agree with how awesome this book is.......
Review by Missi S.....
I fell in love with Cindy York and the author Catherine Bruns with her first book, Killer Transaction, in the Cindy York Mystery Series. Catherine has such a knack with drawing the reader in from page 1 until the end and then she leaves you wanting more ! ! !
I loved the story line with Cindy trying to solve her best friend's death....from 25 years ago ! The story that Paul had committed suicide did not make sense to Cindy and she has never been able to let it go. Even though she married, had kids and had a career, she always held doubt. Then when she goes to a reunion at the house where Paul had taken his life by invitation of his brother, Ben and his wife things change drastically. Now Cindy has proof that he couldn't have killed himself.
How far will Cindy go to solve the case and finally be able to lay her best friend in peace ? How far will the murderer go to keep this 25 year old secret from being solved ?
I don't want to say more, even though I would love to. You will want to read this book yourself. If you aren't already a huge fan of Catherine Bruns and her books, what are you waiting for ??
Review by Penny M.....
Priced to Kill by Catherine Bruns is the second book in the Cindy York mysteries. It is a fast paced, exciting read. I love the strong married heroine, Cindy York. She has a lot to juggle with a set of twins, a teenage daughter, and a husband who is a bit horny. She is also a real estate agent with her best friend Jacques Fortes. She is working for Jacques trying to work through this hard time for real estate.
Things start to look up for them when Cindy gets a phone call from her past. Ben and Michelle Steadman are looking to sell their mansion and moved to Bermuda. They want Cindy to sell it for them. This is really hard for Cindy because 25 years ago Paul Steadman, her best friend died from an apparent suicide in the house and she is the one who found him. Things never sat well for Cindy with Paul's suicide and Ben wants her to not only sell the house but go to the HS reunion at the house to open a time capsule. At the reunion something happens that could change everyone's life forever!
With the help of her best buddy Jacques they are about to make a huge sale and open up a cold case 25 years in the making. This sell may put them in more danger than they realize.
This book sucks you in from the start and doesn't let go till the end. This series has it all, mystery, murder, secrets, lies, and a ton of adventure so hold on to your seats for a great read.

Former musician Juliet Langley has barely had a day off since taking over management of the coffeehouse owned by her best friend, Pete Bennett. But there's always more to be done—such as prepping for the annual Holiday 5K Race organized by Pete's snobby socialite girlfriend, Cecilia Hollingsworth. This year, Java Jive has a booth right at the finish line, and since Juliet and Cecilia don't always see eye to eye, everything has to be perfect. Nothing can go wrong. Nothing . . . like Juliet stumbling over Cecilia's dead body on the morning of the race.
When Pete is arrested for Cecilia's murder, Juliet sets out to clear his name. She'll do whatever it takes—even if it means standing up to the police, her ex-boyfriend, and the grande dames of Nashville. But there isn't enough espresso in the world for the greatest challenge in her path: infiltrating Nashville's high society to uncover the hidden hotbed of scandal without running afoul of the law herself. With her last dime staked on Pete's bail bond and her staff growing jittery, the last thing Juliet needs is for her trademark temper to land her behind bars. As time drips away, Juliet needs to crack this case before the killer comes back for another shot. (Summary via Goodreads)
Mug Shot book two in The Java Jive mystery series is not your grandmothers cozy. This is jam packed full of mystery, adventure, as well as piss and vinegar. I love this series with its strong red headed She Devil Juliet. She is the manager at the Java Jive Coffee shop owned by her best friend Pete who she has been in love with since college but that's another story. Pete is still with Cecilla Hollingsworth a snooty socialite that is Jules arch nemesis.
Java Jive is to be at the end of the Holiday 5k with coffee and cookies. Jules goes to set up the tent but instead she finds Cecilla laying dead with a milk frothing thermometer sticking out of her neck. Guess who's fingerprints and DNA are all over Cecilla? Yes, the prime suspect, Pete! Sexy Detective Ryder was there helping deliver the cookies so he called in and Detective Cromwell shows up. Yikes!
Juliet finds out that Pete has a lot of evidence stacked up against him. She is going to do everything she can to keep him out of jail. She ends up going against Ryder and Cromwell to investigate on her own!
Will Jules be able to keep Pete out of jail? Will Jules be able to keep herself out of jail while trying to help?
The ending to this book was so unexpected I was shocked!!! I really loved not knowing who murdered Cecilla until the end. There are so many suspects you will be on the edge of your seat. This book has twists and turns galore. Can't wait for book three.

Kailani Pope wants nothing more than to be a proud member of the Honolulu Police Department. Both her father and grandfather were cops, her five brothers are cops, and the only thing she has ever wanted from the time she can remember wanting anything, was to be a cop. She has passed all the requirements to be selected for the police academy but somehow her number never seems to come up.
While she is waiting for her name to work its way to the top of the list she works as a lifeguard for the Dolphin Bay Resort. When a guest of the resort is found murdered, Kailani decides that if she can solve the murder before her brother who has been assigned to the case by HPD, then the department will have no choice but to take her application seriously and move her to the top of the list.
Murder at Dolphin Bay is set on the beautiful island of Oahu providing a perfect backdrop for the perfect beach read. (Summary via Goodreads)
Kathi Daley has done it again! This is a great new Cozy. Murder at Dolphin Bay is a new series based in Hawaii. Besides being in a beautiful setting for a Cozy, it is a fun read. I loved the premise of a woman trying to make it in a man's world.
Kailani Pope, Lani, to her friends has been trying to get on the HPD but is being blocked at every turn. Her first strike are her brothers called the J team since they all start with the letter J. They are all police officers including her dad who is retired. They all want to protect her and don't want her being a police officer. Two she is vertically challenged as I am too in my family. She is barely 5 ft tall and three she is known to be impulsive and tends to act first and think later. So in the meantime she is a WSO, a lifeguard at the Dolphin Bay resort on the North shore. She lives in a small condo community with two of her friends and Sandy her dog.
While at work she notices a man lying on the beach turning into a lobster and decides to go investigate and tell him he might want to find some shade. When she gets up close she asks him if he is ok and shakes him only to find he isn't responding. She takes his hat off to realize that the man is actually dead! Her mind goes into investigation mode and decides she is going to solve this case before her brother Jason to prove she deserves a chance on the department.
I'm sure you have guessed this doesn't go as planned and thus begins an adventure full of ups and downs, and twists and turns and maybe even romance? Or not? Will Lani be able to solve this case before Jason? Or will she find herself in too deep and need rescued???
This is a home run for Kathi Daley! I loved reading this book and can't wait for book two.

Sheriff Sharyn Howard has her hands full. The county commission wants to cut her staff. Colonel John Metzger wants his brother's killer yesterday. And the Navy wants to be sure she comes up with the "right" answers to the town's new mystery.
Add to that a lovesick deputy and her mother dating Senator Caison Talbot, one of Sharyn's least favorite people.
But what really has her puzzled is the mystery everyone in town is talking about. Someone shot WWII Navy Captain William "Billy" Bost as he dipped his plane's wings to his sweetheart. The secret's been hidden for over half a century. Is it possible that the person who killed Billy Bost, Diamond Springs' most famous hero, is also the same person who killed the Pulitzer prize-winning author looking for the truth? (Summary via Goodreads)
What can be said about a Joyce & Jim Lavene book that hasn't already been said ?? I for one am a HUGE fan of their books, loving every one. The magical way they draw a reader into the story is .... well magical. The talent between them is out of this world amazing.
One Last Goodbye is the second book in The Sharyn Howard Mystery series. I truly enjoy this series for so many reasons. First you have a female Sheriff who is following in her father and grandfather's footsteps. She is very good at her job but has to constantly continue to prove to members of her own department, some town people and her very own mother that she is capable of doing the job. She has the medical examiner that has feelings for her but she feels she has to remain professional with him. And her mom is dating a Senator that Sharyn cannot stand.
In One Last Goodbye Sharyn has both hands full when a Pulitzer prize-winning author comes to town to bring up a 50-year old Navy plane that has been resting on the bottom of the lake presumed to still have the town hero pilot in it. Before the plane is lifted from the water, the author Tom and his truck are also found in the lake.
Tom's brother is in town to assist his brother as well as 2 members of the Navy who seem to want to complicate the investigates.
The Sheriff and her small staff now have 3 homicides to solve with one being 50 years old. But with the help of Nick and her small staff, Sharon has no doubt in her mind that they can solve both cases...even with people in town who don't think they can .....or want them to.
Although we lost Joyce in October of 2015, she remains alive in her books and in our lives. Her husband Jim is truly a Saint for continuing the work they started and for keeping a huge void in the cozy mystery book world from happening. For that I am forever grateful for Jim's strength and I will ALWAYS be a huge fan and read EVERY book by these GREAT authors. How about you ??

Quaker midwife Rose Carroll hears secrets and keeps confidences as she attends births of the rich and poor alike in an 1888 Massachusetts mill town. When the town’s world-famed carriage industry is threatened by the work of an arsonist, and a carriage factory owner’s adult son is stabbed to death with Rose's own knitting needle, she is drawn into solving the mystery. Things get dicey after the same owner’s mistress is also murdered, leaving her one-week-old baby without a mother. The Quaker poet and abolitionist John Greenleaf Whittier helps Rose by lending words of advice and support. While struggling with being less than the perfect Friend, Rose draws on her strengths as a counselor and problem solver to bring two murderers to justice before they destroy the town’s carriage industry and the people who run it. ( Summary via Goodreads)
WHAT A TREAT ! !
Here is a book that will truly take thee back in time. Edith Maxwell doesn't just write a book, she researches before she writes it. While reading Delivering the Truth thee will feel like thee is living in Amesbury Massachusetts in the 1800's. Thee may even learn a thing or two.
I instantly fell in love with Rose the midwife. Her calling as a midwife takes her all over the town, she knows everyone and helps whoever needs it. As simple as her live is as a Quaker, it is eveything but boring.
When one of the carriage factories is burned down with some towns people still inside and the factory owner's son is stabbed to death, Rose cannot help but ask questions to try to find out if both are related. And when policeman Kevin Donovan asks her to keep her eyes and ears opened, she takes it a bit further. As she continues to care for her clients, she gets deeper and deeper into the investigation getting herself into danger.
It may take thee a little time to get use to the Quaker way of speaking. But once you get use to it, thee may not be able to stop.
Whether it's Edith Maxwell, Trace Baker, or Maddie Day writing the book, thee can be guaranteed thee will get swept away into another time and place and meet lots of great characters.
I don't know if I can wait until the next book in the Quaker Midwife series. I may have to try to invent a time machine ... but will I travel to the future and read the 2nd book or go back in time and take a ride in a carriage or ride a safety bicycle.
In the refreshing new Georgia Peach Mystery from the author of Peaches and Scream, an upcoming debutante ball turns into the pits when a juicy murder scandalizes a small town.
The annual Peach Cotillion, Cays Mill, Georgia’s biggest event, is fast approaching and Nola Mae Harper is just as excited as the rest of the town—even though she’s busy juggling both the cotillion dinner and the grand opening of her new shop, Peachy Keen. But she never expected that plans for the cotillion would end up in the pits because of the cutthroat competition between local debutantes.
When Vivien Crenshaw, insufferable church organist and despised mother of the town’s spoiled-rotten Peach Queen, is stabbed to death, the police turn to Nola’s friend Ginny as prime suspect. Apparently the two had fought over a one-of-a-kind cotillion gown. As Nola steps in to prove Ginny’s innocence she soon finds herself picking through a bushel of suspects, twice as many motives, and at the mercy of a killer all too keen on killing again. (Summary via Goodreads)
Another great Cozy mystery. I love love love this series! Rest in Peach is book two in the Georgia Peach Mystery series. I knew after reading the first I wouldn't be able to put this down. Susan Furlong gets first place with the recipes at the end of the book. Reading about them during the mystery will make your mouth water.
The characters in these books are so real. Cays, Georgia is in a frenzy about the upcoming annual Peach Cotillion. Susan Furlong hits the nail on the head when she writes about the preparations for a southern tradition. It is like the Miss America pageant for a Southern Belle. The parents go overboard this time. This year Ginny and her daughter Emily are getting everything ready for the event. They show up at Hattie's shop to try on her dress and see what alterations need to be done. Things don't go as planned! Hattie made a mistake when she ordered only one dress for two girls. YIKES! Thank goodness Nola was there because Vivien Crenshaw and Ginny get into a verbal altercation over the dress. Vivien is a very obnoxious mother that plays the piano at church. Her daughter Tara is a spoiled young woman who won Peach Queen last year under questionable circumstances. Vivien has made plans to come back later for the final alterations when she ends up stabbed to death in Hattie's shop. Everyone jumps to conclusions and blame Ginny. Sheriff Maudy is only focused on Ginny. This is crazy! Nola, Hattie, and Ginny start their own investigation to get to the bottom of this brutal murder. "Gossip. The cause of so much destruction."
This book has you on the edge of your seat from the beginning. The suspense and intrigue have you reading the whole book in one setting. You have everything from lies, deceit, and blackmail. Will Nola and her brother Ray be able to help her friend Ginny stay out of jail??? You will be guessing the killer the whole time.
