If you loved the Frosted Love series…you’ll love this 4th installment in the series that continues the adventures of Missy, Chas, and the rest of the gang. They’ve moved from Louisiana to Calgon, Florida, and have picked up an interesting cast of characters along the way! Missy and Echo travel back to LaChance, Louisiana to plan Grayson and Sarah’s wedding. Missy loves the changes that Grayson has made to her old shop, but finds herself feeling nostalgic when she revisits the town where she was born and raised. When a woman and her mother are found murdered in a “haunted” house just a few miles from Missy’s old neighborhood, Missy and Echo find themselves swept up in a chilling search for the truth. (Summary via Goodreads) I hope you have eaten before you start reading because the cupcakes in this book are to die for. Loved this book. Chai Cupcake Killer is #4 in The INNcredibly Sweet Series. Summer Prescott was so sweet to dedicate a character to a special young reader in this book. I fell in love with the character of Destiny. She is a smart, adventurous tween that travels the country in an RV with her parents. She loves to read and is described as a bookworm. Her favorite genre is mysteries and ends up being right in the middle of one.
By the time Missy ends up back at the store the police are there to question Grayson. And Detective Simmons has already made his mind up that Grayson is suspect number one. YIKES! Destiny comes into the shop and gives just enough information for Missy and Echo to start their own investigation much to the dismay of Grumpy Simmons.
Will they be able to help their friend before he ends up in jail? Can a tween they just met help them track down a killer before he or she strikes again???
I love this series and all the characters. Especially Spencer! I can't wait to see what happens in the next book because this one left us with a lot of of surprises. Review by Penny M.

Catherine has such a knack with drawing the reader in from page 1 until the end and then she leaves you wanting more ! ! ! Now Cindy has proof that he couldn't have killed himself. How far will Cindy go to solve the case and finally be able to lay her best friend in peace ? How far will the murderer go to keep this 25 year old secret from being solved ? I don't want to say more, even though I would love to. You will want to read this book yourself. When a guest of the resort is found murdered, Kailani decides that if she can solve the murder before her brother who has been assigned to the case by HPD, then the department will have no choice but to take her application seriously and move her to the top of the list.
Murder at Dolphin Bay is set on the beautiful island of Oahu providing a perfect backdrop for the perfect beach read. (Summary via Goodreads) Kathi Daley has done it again! This is a great new Cozy. Murder at Dolphin Bay is a new series based in Hawaii. Besides being in a beautiful setting for a Cozy, it is a fun read. I loved the premise of a woman trying to make it in a man's world. Kailani Pope, Lani, to her friends has been trying to get on the HPD but is being blocked at every turn. Her first strike are her brothers called the J team since they all start with the letter J. They are all police officers including her dad who is retired. They all want to protect her and don't want her being a police officer. Two she is vertically challenged as I am too in my family. She is barely 5 ft tall and three she is known to be impulsive and tends to act first and think later. So in the meantime she is a WSO, a lifeguard at the Dolphin Bay resort on the North shore. Her mind goes into investigation mode and decides she is going to solve this case before her brother Jason to prove she deserves a chance on the department. I'm sure you have guessed this doesn't go as planned and thus begins an adventure full of ups and downs, and twists and turns and maybe even romance? Or not? Will Lani be able to solve this case before Jason? Or will she find herself in too deep and need rescued??? This is a home run for Kathi Daley! I loved reading this book and can't wait for book two. Sheriff Sharyn Howard has her hands full. The county commission wants to cut her staff. Colonel John Metzger wants his brother's killer yesterday. And the Navy wants to be sure she comes up with the "right" answers to the town's new mystery.
Add to that a lovesick deputy and her mother dating Senator Caison Talbot, one of Sharyn's least favorite people.
But what really has her puzzled is the mystery everyone in town is talking about. Someone shot WWII Navy Captain William "Billy" Bost as he dipped his plane's wings to his sweetheart. The secret's been hidden for over half a century. Is it possible that the person who killed Billy Bost, Diamond Springs' most famous hero, is also the same person who killed the Pulitzer prize-winning author looking for the truth? (Summary via Goodreads) What can be said about a Joyce & Jim Lavene book that hasn't already been said ?? I for one am a HUGE fan of their books, loving every one. The magical way they draw a reader into the story is .... well magical. The talent between them is out of this world amazing. One Last Goodbye is the second book in The Sharyn Howard Mystery series. I truly enjoy this series for so many reasons. First you have a female Sheriff who is following in her father and grandfather's footsteps. She is very good at her job but has to constantly continue to prove to members of her own department, some town people and her very own mother that she is capable of doing the job. She has the medical examiner that has feelings for her but she feels she has to remain professional with him. And her mom is dating a Senator that Sharyn cannot stand. In One Last Goodbye Sharyn has both hands full when a Pulitzer prize-winning author comes to town to bring up a 50-year old Navy plane that has been resting on the bottom of the lake presumed to still have the town hero pilot in it. Before the plane is lifted from the water, the author Tom and his truck are also found in the lake. Tom's brother is in town to assist his brother as well as 2 members of the Navy who seem to want to complicate the investigates. The Sheriff and her small staff now have 3 homicides to solve with one being 50 years old. But with the help of Nick and her small staff, Sharon has no doubt in her mind that they can solve both cases...even with people in town who don't think they can .....or want them to.
Although we lost Joyce in October of 2015, she remains alive in her books and in our lives. Her husband Jim is truly a Saint for continuing the work they started and for keeping a huge void in the cozy mystery book world from happening. For that I am forever grateful for Jim's strength and I will ALWAYS be a huge fan and read EVERY book by these GREAT authors. How about you ?? Review by Missi S.

In the refreshing new Georgia Peach Mystery from the author of Peaches and Scream, an upcoming debutante ball turns into the pits when a juicy murder scandalizes a small town.
The annual Peach Cotillion, Cays Mill, Georgia’s biggest event, is fast approaching and Nola Mae Harper is just as excited as the rest of the town—even though she’s busy juggling both the cotillion dinner and the grand opening of her new shop, Peachy Keen. But she never expected that plans for the cotillion would end up in the pits because of the cutthroat competition between local debutantes. When Vivien Crenshaw, insufferable church organist and despised mother of the town’s spoiled-rotten Peach Queen, is stabbed to death, the police turn to Nola’s friend Ginny as prime suspect. Apparently the two had fought over a one-of-a-kind cotillion gown. As Nola steps in to prove Ginny’s innocence she soon finds herself picking through a bushel of suspects, twice as many motives, and at the mercy of a killer all too keen on killing again. (Summary via Goodreads) Another great Cozy mystery. I love love love this series! Rest in Peach is book two in the Georgia Peach Mystery series. I knew after reading the first I wouldn't be able to put this down. Susan Furlong gets first place with the recipes at the end of the book. Reading about them during the mystery will make your mouth water.
The characters in these books are so real. Cays, Georgia is in a frenzy about the upcoming annual Peach Cotillion. Susan Furlong hits the nail on the head when she writes about the preparations for a southern tradition. It is like the Miss America pageant for a Southern Belle. The parents go overboard this time. This year Ginny and her daughter Emily are getting everything ready for the event. They show up at Hattie's shop to try on her dress and see what alterations need to be done. Things don't go as planned! Hattie made a mistake when she ordered only one dress for two girls. YIKES! Thank goodness Nola was there because Vivien Crenshaw and Ginny get into a verbal altercation over the dress. Vivien is a very obnoxious mother that plays the piano at church. Her daughter Tara is a spoiled young woman who won Peach Queen last year under questionable circumstances. Vivien has made plans to come back later for the final alterations when she ends up stabbed to death in Hattie's shop. Everyone jumps to conclusions and blame Ginny. Sheriff Maudy is only focused on Ginny. This is crazy! Nola, Hattie, and Ginny start their own investigation to get to the bottom of this brutal murder. "Gossip. The cause of so much destruction."
This book has you on the edge of your seat from the beginning. The suspense and intrigue have you reading the whole book in one setting. You have everything from lies, deceit, and blackmail. Will Nola and her brother Ray be able to help her friend Ginny stay out of jail??? You will be guessing the killer the whole time. Review by Penny M.
